Lecture Tour Roundup

thumb_highlands.jpgIts all Over, I had been presenting a Expedition show at various locations all last week, and have just made it back to the other end of the country. It's been a funny journey from Southampton, up to the lakes, down to Liverpool, up to Scotland, over to Fort William and back down here again. It was allot of fun, and great to catch up with folk up there, I would like to thank everyone who came to the shows and of course all the folk who organized the show venues!

The best of the west...Waitaha

barney_triple.jpgThe Waitaha is my favorite run on the west coast of NZ.

It is longer, bigger, and harder than many of the other runs, and has a huge variety of rapids, and even a hour long portage near the end of the day , just to keep you honest!!!

Return to the Kokatahi!

phil.jpgWe just had a great run on the Kokatahi, nearly 10 years since the last one on Als birthday. That one took nearly 12hours, with a team of Arnd, Scorshi, Corkboy,Al and John Mason.

This trip took 6 hours, with local guide Dave Kwant helping cut down on scouts, and we were able to run the Carnage gorge( a 2 hour portage).
